For those wishing to travel a little further afield there are some great places to explore.


Aberdeen, the Oil Capital of Europe has a wealth of visitor attractions and a great shopping experience.


Elgin is the administrative and commercial capital of Moray has a flourishing city centre, with many of the high street names and a unique range of specialists shops.

Nestling in the world famous whisky country, Elgin is home to famous brands such as Glen Moray - Distillery, Johnstons of Elgin cashmere mills and Gordon & MacPhail on its doorstep. Baxters of Fochabers is a few miles east and Walkers of Aberlour is south of Elgin.


Inverness is known as the 'Highland Capital', it still retains its market town feel to it, dating back to its early development. Activities in Inverness include the world famous Loch Ness and its monster. There are also some fabulous local castles and heritage all within an easy drive of the capital.
